Automatic downloads allow apps and other items to be updated automatically. Automatic downloads is useful if you tend to forget to update your apps manually in App Store.
When you have multiple technicians, this feature can ensure your technicians always have the latest version of ServicePal.
If your App Store icon shows a red badge, your iPad has not been configured for automatic updates.
1. Open the “Settings” app from your home screen.
2. Scroll down until you see “iTunes & App Store”.
3. Turn the slider for Updates to "ON"
NOTE: You can prevent new apps, music, and books, from automatically downloading by switching off the other slider buttons.
In the example above, the iOS device has been configured to also get automatic app updates when the device is using cellular data. This allows technicians in the field to get automatic updates as soon as they become available.
