TestFlight is an app made by Apple that we use from time to time.

TestFlight allows us to give you a version of ServicePal before it's available in the App Store. Getting a new app version approved by Apple can take several days, even up to a week. So, when we have a critical bug fix, or would like your opinion on new features, we use TestFlight.

If you do not already have the TestFlight app installed, you will be asked to download it from the App Store. The app is free, but you will need your iTunes email and password to download it.

Open the TestFlight email on your iPad, and Click "Start Testing"

The Safari app will open. You should copy the redemption code, just in case you need it when TestFlight is installed.

Then, click "Get TestFlight from the AppStore"

You are now taken to the App Store app, and TestFlight is displayed.

Click "GET" to download TestFlight. When the app has downloaded, click "OPEN".

Once TestFlight opens, you have see an option to enter the redemption code. If your iTunes account has the same email as we used to send the invitation, you may not get prompted for the redemption code.

Instead, you will see the following screen where you can Accept the new ServicePal version.

Note, that you will only see the app that we have invited you to try. If you are not using ServicePal for HVAC, you will see the original ServicePal app.

Apple shows a standard message saying that you may lose your data if you install the app. That will not be the case. Your ServicePal data is stored in a local database, so you can ignore the warning.
